I was poised to begin a rape trial this week... Prior to picking a jury I was able to resolve the case with the help of an extremely honorable prosecutor. The victims statements and claims were questionable, a difficult case to prosecute. The Deputy District Attorney dismissed the rape allegations and my client pleaded guilty to the unlawful intercourse with a minor. The victim was two months shy of her 18th birthday. This was the right result on this case and I firmly believe justice was done.
